Amanda Bynes dropped the debut episode of her new podcast over the weekend, making her return to the entertainment industry.
The 37-year-old actress announced the release of the first episode of her and friends’ new project. Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: Podcast.
Ahead of the release, she shared a film photo on Instagram of herself, Paul, and guest Dahlia Moss sitting together on a couch and posing with a peace sign.
“The first episode of Amanda Bynes and Paul Sieminski: The podcast has ended,” Bynes wrote in the caption. “Thank you @dahliamoth!”
Just a few weeks ago, in late November, she announced that she would be working on a project with her biochemist-scientist BFF, a podcast about the entertainment industry.
The former Nickelodeon star previously teased his debut work and talked about his plans to take his podcast to a “mainstream” level.
“At first I’m going to interview friends, but then I want to take it mainstream and interview celebrities and artists,” she explained in the video.
The podcast series will also be available in video format and will be her first on-camera project since her last film project, the 2010 romantic comedy Easy A, more than a decade ago.
In the first episode of the podcast, Bynes doesn’t talk about herself, but chats with Sieminski while interviewing her first guest, tattoo artist Dahlia Moss.
They recalled how Bynes met the model several years ago while working at a Spirit Halloween store.
The She’s the Man star debuted platinum blonde space buns and also talked about her facial tattoos during the episode.
“No one cares anymore if people have tattoos on their faces. It shouldn’t matter,” declared Bynes, who shocked fans in 2019 by getting a heart tattoo under her left eye. Ta.
This comes after a tumultuous year in which Bynes has been in and out of mental health facilities, following 5,150 pending cases last month.
Previously, she stepped away from acting in 2010 amid rumors of drug abuse.
She fell into a very public mental state and was placed under conservatorship in August 2013.
During that time, he was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Since then, Bynes has largely stayed out of the spotlight, choosing to focus on projects outside of Hollywood.
She earned her associate’s degree from the College of Fashion Design and Merchandising in 2019.
When her conservatorship ended in March 2022, almost 10 years later, she began attending cosmetology school to become a manicurist.
