According to Sergeant Steven Mauk of the city police, a plane went off the runway at Drake Field in Fayetteville on Thursday morning. The small Cessna plane went off the runway during takeoff, Mauk said. The plane went about 20 to 30 feet off the runway and flipped a wing. There was one person on board, but no one was injured. Drake Field is located south of Fayetteville and is operated by the city. Drake Field has one runway. It is home to the Arkansas Aviation and Military Museum.
