1968- Qorei leaves his banking career to join the Fatah movement.
1983- Appointed head of the Economic Division of the Executive Committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).
1993- Qorei is a key negotiator in secret peace talks between Israel and the PLO held in Oslo, Norway.
From January 3, 1994 Qorei was awarded the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit for his contribution to the Oslo Peace Accords.
1994- Koray returns from exile to Palestinian territory.
From July 5, 1994 Qorei was appointed economy minister in the first Palestinian cabinet.
From September 19, 1994 Qorei resigned as economy minister over a feud with Yasser Arafat, but later resumed his duties.
From September 1995 During a negotiating session with the Israeli leader, Qorei fell ill and was hospitalized overnight.
