Adele and Celine Dion were left in tears after sharing a touching hug at the “Hello” singer’s Las Vegas residency on Saturday.
While singing “When We Were Young,” Adele spotted Dion in the crowd and the women hugged. Celine then put her hand on Adele’s face and they exchanged a few words before the 56-year-old continued to hold Adele’s hand.
As Adele left, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer wiped away tears while Dion put her face in her hands and was comforted by what appeared to be twins Nelson and Eddie Angelil next to her.
Particularly moving was Adele’s performance at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where Celine was a resident for 16 years.
Meanwhile, Adele also came to see Dion in 2018, and the two have since posted about it on Instagram.
Dion wrote at the time, “Although I couldn’t be on all my shows, I was thrilled that Adele came to one of them…I love her so much!!”
Adele shared a photo of herself wearing a Celine T-shirt and wrote, “Queen Celine! What a great show, an absolute highlight of my life. Thank you for the attention to the audience and your insane humor. Happy New Year Congratulations, Lady X.”
In fact, Adele is such a big fan that in 2021, she confessed in VOGUE magazine’s 73 questions that she has a framed piece of Celine gum! The souvenir was given to Celine by James Corden after they did “Carpool Karaoke” together.
Meanwhile, Adele plans to take a break from music activities after her residency period ends in November.

Dion was also diagnosed with stiff person syndrome and was forced to take a break from music several years ago. She opened up about her health journey in the 2024 documentary I Am: Céline Dion and gradually returned to public life, performing at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics in July.
In June, Extra’s Tommy DiDario spoke with Celine and asked her about her rumored return to Las Vegas, and Celine declared, “That’s exactly what I heard!” And even the song popped out!
