Fans will have to wait a little longer to see Zendaya’s hot new movie Challengers.
The tennis drama was originally scheduled to hit theaters on September 15th, but was pushed back to April 2024. Eh!Check in news.
The studio told the show that the delay was due to the SAG-AFTRA strike that started last week.
“Challengers” was scheduled to have its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on August 30, but that was also affected.
La Biennale di Venezia, the organizers of the Italian film festival known for screening Oscar-nominated films, announced this week that it would be canceling screenings of the film.
“Due to the decision of the producers, ‘Challengers’ will not be participating in the festival,” the statement read. website.
Zendaya also no longer participates in glamorous festivals. The ‘Euphoria’ actress last attended the Venice Film Festival for the 2021 premiere of ‘Dune’.
In “Challengers,” Zendaya plays a former tennis prodigy who makes no excuses for how she plays on and off the court.

The trailer for the film, directed by Luca Guadagnino, opens with a hot scene in which Zendaya’s Tashi Duncan seduces and is seduced by two friends, Art and Patrick, played by Mike Feist (West Side Story) and Josh O’Connor (The Crown).
