Despite a difficult year, King Charles is ending 2024 with a joke.
On Friday, Charles gave an update on his health amid his battle with cancer.
When a Sikh representative asked how he was doing, Charles quipped in a video he posted: “I’m still alive.” DailyMail.com.
Earlier in the day, Buckingham Palace revealed that Prince Charles would continue his cancer treatment in the new year.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “His treatment is progressing well and his treatment cycle will continue into next year in a controlled manner.”
Prince Charles is in good spirits as he prepares to host his annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace, with Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh expected to attend.
Prince William, Duchess Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will not be able to attend the lunch as they are in Norfolk.
However, William and his family plan to meet Charles at Sandringham House later on Christmas Day.
William recently spoke about his Christmas plans: DailyMail.com“We’re in Sandringham, Norfolk. We’ll be 45 at Christmas. It’s not going to be quiet, it’s going to be noisy.”

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan did not appear, but they have long distanced themselves from the royal family.
