Former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Sara Ramirez and ex-husband Ryan DeBolt have reached a divorce settlement.
According to court documents: TMZThey both waived their right to spousal support.
Since they have no children, the divorce seems to have been an easy one.
If all goes well, their marriage will be finalized on December 16th.
They are still waiting for the judge to sign the divorce agreement.
Ramirez filed for divorce in June, citing irreconcilable differences.
Sarah and Ryan had been separated for six years but didn’t publicly announce their separation until 2021.
At the time, Sarah wrote, “We continue to lovingly support each of our choices as we forge new paths together. Thank you for respecting our choices and respecting our family’s privacy as we navigate this process in our own way.”
Sarah came out as bisexual in 2016 and as non-binary in 2020, and appeared on two seasons of “And Just Like That…” as the non-binary character Choi.
Ramirez has written movingly about the plight of homeless youth who have come out as bisexual, acknowledging, “And because of the many intersections that exist in my own life — woman, multiracial woman, woman of color, queer, bisexual, Mexican-Irish American, immigrant, and raised in a family with deep Catholic roots on both the Mexican and Irish sides — I am deeply committed to projects that ensure young people’s voices are heard, that help them own their own complex stories, and that we can show up for them in the ways they need us to.”
Sarah and Ryan married in 2012.
