The so-called Oscars of fashion are coming at the 2024 Met Gala. At the heart of the event will be style icons Zendaya and Jennifer Lopez, who will co-chair the event.
“Extra’s” Mona Kosa Abdi caught up with Adam Glassman to talk about his future plans. “It’s their night and they’ll be the first ones up the stairs after Anna Wintour,” Adam said of Zendaya and J. Lo.
The ladies will be joined by fellow co-chair Chris Hemsworth, who predicts Adam will look “classic, elegant and chic,” while Bad Bunny will be able to add more playfulness to his outfits. .
With this year’s theme, “Sleeping Beauty: Fashion Awakening,” there will be plenty of A-listers in high heels.
Glassman had this to say on the subject: It’s really about reawakening fashion, so I think you’re going to see a lot of vintage pieces,” he said, adding that it aims to “bring the pieces back to life.”
Will you be able to meet Sleeping Beauty? Adam thinks someone would wear a princess-inspired dress, but not Zendaya, who wore a Cinderella outfit to the 2019 Met Gala.
Regarding color, Glassman said: “I think there’s going to be a lot of green and a lot of red. The inspiration really is the garden, the roses. Beautiful spring greens, like baby grass. I think someone would wear a dress made entirely of grass, something like that. I think so.”
Rihanna from the Met teased on “Extra” that she’s keeping her look “really simple” this year.
Other expected celebrities include Sarah Jessica Parker and Lauren Sanchez, who will make her Metropolitan Museum debut in an Oscar de la Renta dress.
