Cher said she was “completely surprised” by her romance with Alexander “A.E.” Edwards.
The 77-year-old “Believe” hitmaker wasn’t looking for love when the 37-year-old music executive came into her life.
She told Parade magazine: “I was completely surprised. It was ridiculous. I wasn’t looking for it at all. It just happened.”
And when her partner gifted her a diamond ring last Christmas, she was thrilled.
She said: “He gave me a bag on Christmas morning and inside it was a beautiful handmade book and a beautiful pen. It’s just amazing!”
“And he said, ‘Oh, wait, I forgot about this.'” And when he opened it, there was the most amazing diamond ring he’d ever seen. ”
