With conference play in full swing, another fun Saturday of college football begins.
The day features three ranked vs. ranked showdowns, as well as some difficult loading spots for teams in other ranks, potentially leaving some of the nation’s top teams vulnerable to upsets.

Will this be a tough spot for Texas? The Longhorns are 4-0 and ranked No. 3 in the country. Texas’ next big game is next weekend against rival Oklahoma State. But the Longhorns can’t afford to look past the Sooners to a dangerous Kansas team visiting Austin. Kansas coach Lance Leipold has quickly turned the Jayhawks into a viable Big 12 team. Kansas is off to a 4-0 start for him for the second consecutive season thanks to a great offense led by QB Jaron Daniels, RB Devin Neal and a deep receiver group. The Jayhawks run a unique offensive system that could cause problems for the Longhorns.

The Tigers entered the season with national title hype, but their play so far has been uneven. LSU suffered a blowout loss in the second half of its season opener against Florida State, but has since won three straight. While the offense has been prolific, the defense remains a major concern, especially in the secondary. Does Ole Miss have the skill talent to exploit LSU’s weaknesses? It would seem that way on paper, but the Rebels didn’t look quite right on offense. How will Lane Kiffin’s team react back home after last week’s lackluster performance against Alabama?

Notre Dame suffered a last-minute loss to Ohio State. It had to be incredibly depressing for Marcus Freeman’s program, but now the Irish have to travel to take on an undefeated Duke team. Notre Dame has clearly improved thanks to QB Sam Hartman, but can this team bounce back after such a crushing loss? For Duke University, this is the program’s biggest game in years, and the first time the school will host ESPN’s football “College GameDay.” Will coach Mike Elko and the Blue Devils be ready for the foreseeable future?
