Details: 12 bakeries accepting EBT
Understanding a restaurant’s meal program
The Restaurant Meals Program, also known as RMP, was launched by the government for individuals under the SNAP program. RMP allows individuals with EBT cards to purchase hot food from select restaurants.
However, this program is only supported with numbered support.according to low income reliefEBP benefits are available only if you reside in the following states:
- California
- Arizona
- Illinois
- Hawaii
- Massachusetts
- Maryland
- Nevada
- new york
- Virginia
- rhode island
Even if you live in one of the above states, your EBT benefits will only apply if:
- you are disabled
- Homeless without overnight settlement
- you are over 60
What if I don’t live in a state where RMP is supported?
Looking at the list above, anyone can conclude that most US states do not participate in the RMP program. However, pizzerias participating in the RMP program also offer benefits to EBT cardholders. Pizza parlors like Papa Murphy’s accept his EBT card in 37 states.
Alternatively, you can use your EBT card to go to the grocery store and buy frozen pizza. Frozen pizza is purchased uncooked and cold, so it can be purchased through EBT. It’s not an ideal solution, but you can still enjoy the partial benefits of baking a frozen pizza at home.
EBT restaurant threshold
It is possible to receive benefits from EBT even if you are not eligible for RMP. You can use your EBT card to shop from retailers at “restaurant standards” or below.
According to the USDA, a business that derives 50% of its sales from food that is heated or prepared for dine-in or take-out qualifies as a “restaurant.”
So if you have an EBT card and you go to a restaurant that is below “restaurant standards”, you can order a pizza, take it home and bake it yourself.
Pizzerias accepting EBT?
Papa Murphy’s
With more than 1,300 locations in 37 states, Papa Murphy’s is a pizza parlor famous for making mouth-watering pizzas.
However, Papa Murphy does not participate in the restaurant dining program. If it’s not on your list, you won’t be able to enjoy hot, fresh pizza at your restaurant. Instead, a frozen pizza is served and you have to bake it yourself.
Papa Murphy’s lets you use EBT to buy “fresh to go” pizzas at any branch. Not eaten or cooked at the branch, Papa Murphy’s pizza is on his RMP list as a typical grocery purchase.
Considering the delicious pizzas made at Papa Murphy’s, having to bake your own pizza seems like a minimal hassle.
pizza hut
It’s impossible to talk about pizza without mentioning Pizza Hut. After all, they declare their competitiveness and attractiveness through slogans. “No one bakes pizza outside the hut.” According to Insider, Pizza Hut is available in more than 16,000 locations in 100 countries around the world.
Pizza Hut is well known for important initiatives such as “BOOK IT!” program”. Under this program, Pizza Hut provided free pizza as a reading incentive for kindergarten through sixth grade.
Sodas, chicken wings, pasta, pizza, breadsticks – Pizza Hut does it all. However, when talking about EBT, Pizza Hut is only approved for his RMP program in California.
Pizza Hut also offers EBT pizza at select locations in California. But unlike Papa Murphy’s, Pizza Hut serves freshly baked, piping hot pizzas to satisfy any craving.
dominos pizza
Domino’s Pizza is also a global pizza industry participating in RMP. Domino’s Pizza, which has more than 6,100 branches across the United States, is a favorite for its bread-based dough. Their dough contains much higher levels of gluten than conventional dough.
When talking about EBT, Domino’s Pizza is RMP registered. However, Domino’s Pizza only accepts EBT in select locations in Arizona and California.
If you have an EBT card, stop by Domino’s Pizza for a delicious meal.
Little Caesars
Little Caesars has adopted a welcoming attitude towards RMP and EBT holders from a restaurant offering free crazy bread with a slogan.
Like Pizza Hut, Little Caesars only accepts EBT cards at select locations in California. Program guidelines restrict Little Caesars from offering pizza pickup and delivery chains outside of California.
If you live in California and want to use your EBT card to enjoy a delicious meal for dinner or lunch, Little Caesars is the place for you.
The last word
While restrictions are in place, having an EBT card can be a great help in satisfying your fast food cravings. So, if you live in a state where EBT is supported, having this card is a signal to enjoy a good restaurant meal.
Please note that most restaurants only offer EBT facilities in certain locations. Be sure to call the restaurant helpline of your choice and ask which branches accept EBT.
