Introducing two great golf training aids that will transform your golf game by introducing more speed, power and your game. Method is as follows.
One of the reasons I love them is that they are proven and true. Not a gimmick at all. Few moving parts (Speed Whoosh can move the ball, but that’s it)
The first is, golf power fan.
This is great for building golf muscle without weights and can feel tight at times when lifted. Also great for triggering
I swung 20 times (both left and right handed), mostly 3 times a week. All at once. Damn, that’s good training!
One note: I was working with some people on Skype. No no no no! Try to keep your upper body as soft and tension-free as possible. I promise you much better results.
Personally, I didn’t get very good results when I switched between playing days and non-playing days. When you get back into play, you’ll feel stronger, have a better swing sequence (with less effort), and be able to snap the ball better.
Other great golf training aids are swing shoe Momentus Golf.
This is a training aid that will greatly improve your swing speed. About half of our muscle fibers are slow twitch fibers and the other half are fast twitch fibers. Obviously, we want those fast Twitchers to be more active, right?!
The trick is that fast-twitch fibers are activated by actions that move faster than normal. Speed his hoosh several times in quick succession at more than 20 miles per hour faster than your own driver.This action activates the fast-twitch fibers, readying them for action.
Pick up a driver and expect an additional 5-10 mph swing speed resulting in an additional 10-30 yards.
The Swing Whoosh has a magnetic ball on the end that keeps it close to your hand. When you swing the WHOOSH, the ball travels down the shaft and sticks (magnetically) to the opposite end. This makes it easier to feel the “release” of the clubhead.
For me, I never really use the ball. You probably put the ball on the edge of the “club head” because it’s a bit fiddly to slide it every time. Yeah I think it’s pure laziness 🙂
I have a little swing near my house and a few months ago a fan blade cracked and had to be replaced and you can see how worn out the Swing Whoosh is. It doesn’t sit and collect dust like training aids. It works, it gives results, but it doesn’t swing on its own. sorry 🤷♂️
In my own experience, the combination of these great golf training aids has consistently increased my distance by at least 15-20 yards. how? By using a program shared (and I stumbled across) by a golf fitness pro in a previous Golf Magazine editorial section.
I think the genius of the program is how these seemingly unrelated golf training aids work together. One works with strength, power and lag, the other with speed. A deadly combination!

“Great article about Dan McLaughlin (“The 10,000 Hour Challenge”, May 2010) Every golf magazine reader probably dreams of taking a tour. As a golf personal his trainer, I can use some of the devices that McLaughlin wants to get more clubs his head his speed. Power Fan (made by Markwort) and Speed Whoosh (made by Momentus Golf). At least three times a week, he shakes the power fan 20 times in a row and he goes all the way. You’ll notice up to 10 yards in 3 workouts or less, and about 25 yards in 10-20 workouts.
Swing the Speed Whoosh 20 times with both hands, with a short rest (up to 20 seconds) between each swing. This is an “overspeed” workout that helps build your neuromuscular system and fast twitch muscles. These exercises should allow Dan to reach a maximum speed of 137mph in 10-20 of his workouts.
