Petaling Jaya: Rhone Ma Holdings Bhd today announced that Jemaluang Dairy Valley Sdn Bhd (JDV), a joint venture established between its 49% owned subsidiary A2 Fresh Holdings Sdn Bhd and Kulim (Malaysia) Bhd, was appointed by East Coast Economic Region Development announced that it was The Council (ECERDC) develops, operates and manages the 275-hectare Jemaluan Dairy Valley Project in Jemaluan, Mersing, Johor.
JDV, A2 Fresh and Klim (Anchor Group) will invest, operate and manage the project including upstream and downstream operations of dairy cattle farming, milk processing and related product marketing.
The Anchor Group will also be responsible for operating and maintaining existing forage areas, developing new forage areas for animal feed within the project site, and developing and managing training and technology transfer programs for satellite farmers.

The Jemaluan Dairy Valley Project is part of an effort by the Government of Johor and ECERDC to transform the East Coast Economic Zone into Malaysia’s Dairy Valley, making the country more self-sufficient in fresh milk. Construction of the project is expected to be completed by July 2024.
When fully operational, the project is expected to produce 5.4 million liters of fresh milk per year, increasing domestic production by 10.0%. This will not only reduce the country’s reliance on imported dairy products, but it will also take a step towards Malaysia’s goal of becoming fully self-sufficient by 2025.
