The 2023 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference kicked off on June 5th, and it was arguably one of the biggest events ever. The tech giant has announced updates to its iOS devices and new product launches, including virtual reality headsets that are likely to make headlines in the tech world.
Here are the top new features that stand out the most to me.
1. Apple Vision Pro Mixed Reality Headset
The most talked about product so far at WWDC 23 is the Apple Vision Pro, a new mixed reality headset due to launch early next year. AI technology seems to be dominating the tech industry’s attention, but Apple is leaning toward launching a new category of products almost a decade after its last flagship, the Apple Watch.
Why would you want a Vision Pro mixed reality headset on your head?
The product blends the physical and digital worlds by allowing users to see, hear, and interact with digital content as if they were in the same room. You can make what you see as small as your computer screen or as big as the size of your room. It features a 3D interface that can be operated with your eyes, hands, and voice, and you can use your fingers to flick to scroll, and tap your fingers simultaneously to make selections.
The cool thing about this new product is that you can use the EyeSight feature to receive notifications when someone is approaching you while wearing the headset. As you watch content, people approaching you will appear in the corner of your vision. The headset can send messages that the other person can see if you’re completely immersed in something and can’t speak yet.
When you’re ready to speak, the headset reveals your eyes, letting the person know you can speak directly. It’s a pretty wacky concept, but I think a lot of people would love to get their hands on this. The Vision Pro mixed reality headset will be priced at $3,499 and will be available in 2024.

2. Apple’s 15-inch Macbook Air is currently the thinnest laptop in the world
Apple’s first new hardware product announced at the conference was the 15-inch MacBook Air. With a light and durable design, it’s just 11mm thick and weighs just 3.3 pounds, making it the thinnest 15-inch laptop in the world. With an estimated 18 hours of battery life in any of the four colors, you’ll never get bored plugging in to the next power source.
It comes with a 1080p camera, 6 speakers and 4 noise canceling woofers. The device also has a powerful M2 chip. Plus, it’s twice as fast as his predecessor, 25% brighter, and has a battery that lasts 50% longer than a PC. The new laptop starts at $1,299 and will be available next week.

You can add widgets to your desktop or fade them into the background of your screen to avoid distractions while you work.
MacOS Sonoma also has new video conferencing features such as Presenter Overlay, which allows you to stay on-screen during a virtual meeting while creating a presentation, and Recenter, which always automatically places itself in the center of the frame. has been introduced.

4. New privacy settings
Safari is already one of the best browsers when it comes to total privacy, and more features are on the way by the fall. If you’re using Private Browsing in Safari, it will lock your Private Browsing window when you’re not using it, completely blocking known trackers from loading on your pages. Additionally, any tracking added to the URL while browsing is removed.
Other privacy features it introduces include greater transparency when granting access to your photo library to third-party apps, and the ability to share specific photos with apps while keeping the rest of your library private. Includes helpful new tools.
5. Update AirPods
AirPods Pro (2nd gen) features new and improved adaptive audio features that combine transparency and noise cancellation so you hear what you hear, while reducing distracting outside noise can do.
When you start talking to someone while wearing your AirPods, the volume of what you’re listening to automatically lowers. You can receive calls on the go, and you can also reduce ambient noise during calls. Additionally, transitions are significantly faster when switching from playing music to calling.

7. Apple watchOS 10
Also coming this fall is a new version of Apple Watch with many enhanced and groundbreaking features. Among them is a world clock app that changes color according to the time of day and can be easily switched to add new widgets.
Cyclers are lucky too, as watchOS 10 includes new metrics with compatible Bluetooth settings for active cyclists. There is also a function called “functional threshold power” that displays the level of strength that can be maintained for one hour, and a “power zone” that displays which zone you are in and how much time you will spend in each zone to improve. There is also a function called your performance.
And perhaps the biggest feature is the ability to add Snoopy and Woodstock to your watch face to be more active with you.

8. iOS 17 Coming to iPhones and iPads
iPhones and iPads will also get some major upgrades with the iOS17 software update due out this fall. There are some great features in this upgrade and I’m really looking forward to it. The main ones I can’t wait to see are:
contact poster
The Phone app has a great new feature called Contacts Poster that lets you customize how you appear on other people’s phones when you call them. You can choose images, fonts and colors, and your choices will pop up on your phone every time you call a friend or family member. You can also select a contact poster so that your preferred contact poster will be displayed when you receive a call.
live voicemail
Called during an important meeting and wondered if you should answer? Apple is now introducing Live Voicemail. With this feature, you can leave a voicemail while your iPhone transcribes the voicemail to your phone in real time. That way, you can read the contents of the other person’s call and pick up the call later if you think it’s important.
FaceTime Voicemail
Creepy New Voice Clone Coming to iPhone
This is certainly one of the features we plan to use once it’s released. Normally, when you FaceTime her when she’s away, the call ends automatically and you have to wait for her to call you back. However, if you upgrade to iOS 17, you can record a video message to someone who doesn’t answer your FaceTime call so they can watch it later. This is a really cool idea and I think a lot of people will use this feature to leave fun video messages for their friends and family.
iMessage updates
Sending iMessages to your loved ones is even more fun.First, if you need to find a specific message, in the iMessage app[検索]We’re adding new filtering capabilities to the tabs so you can be more specific with your searches and find the messages you need faster.
But what’s really fun is adding new stickers to iMessage. Besides turning emojis into stickers, you can also turn photos from your photo library into stickers. You can also add effects to your stickers and react with stickers to messages sent to you. We have no doubt that everyone will be delighted with this update.
the best way to search for anything
stand by
The last feature I’m really looking forward to in the iOS 17 update is the Standby feature. This allows you to turn your iPhone sideways and get a whole new view that you’ve never experienced on an iPhone before. You can easily see the date and time by selecting the widget you want to see, such as the calendar, the score of last night’s game, or the arrival time of your food delivery. Plus, it comes with a low-light mode that won’t distract you while you sleep at night.
