I think Siri doesn’t understand me most of the time. That may be true, but she’s not her fault.
Until I learned these shortcuts, I may not have been asking Siri the right questions to make my life easier. Perform these 5 Siri tricks and you’ll wish you knew these secret Siri commands long ago.
Let’s start with the obvious things you’ve never thought to ask Siri. Keep in mind that your iPhone and iPad need to be updated to the latest iOS software for what you’re about to see to work effectively.

5. Hey Siri, find my next email [insert name]
Finding an email message is never easy, unless it just arrived within the last hour. Now it’s very easy to take your finger off search and ask your iPhone or iPad: “Hey Siri, find an email from ___.” You might be surprised how quickly this voice search pinpoints the exact email you’re looking for.

4. Hey Siri, restart iPhone
Your iPhone told me it was having problems with ______. I will answer you by asking if you have tried to adjust this or that. Yes, I’ve tried both this and that. My next line is predictable. What you need to do next is to restart your phone and see if that fixes the problem. I had to. Now rest your fingers and say,Hey Siri, restart your iPhone. ” Restarting your iPhone increases the chances that everything will be fine.
3. Hey Siri, share this photo [insert name]
I took some magical pictures like the historic Brooklyn Bridge at night. The sparkle of the moon photographed is a shot that makes you want to convey its coolness to someone. When viewing photos on your iPhone, just say: “Hey Siri, share this photo with _____” This same Siri trick works for sharing other things like songs, videos, map locations, and web pages.

What are the Siri commands you should know in the dark? Say this and your iPhone will illuminate the nearby area. similar command “Hey Siri, turn off the flashlight‘ also works. When following directions in Apple Maps, ask how to pause along the way.
