TERE HORTE, Indiana (WTWO/WAWV) — Hundreds of residents gathered at the Terre Haute Quarter Midget Truck on Saturday to help raise funds for the cause.
The Deluxe Car Show was started by the Hatcher family to celebrate their love and passion for cars. It also aims to raise funds for Team of Mercy, a company that helps families who have experienced the tragedy of suicide.
The show featured awards voted for by the whole car, top 10 best cars, best trucks, best customs and even a special award from the Queen of Vigo County Fair.
Many retailers and restaurants were also set up on site, allowing people to enjoy viewing all the cars in the show.
Kane Hatcher is the founder of the show and an ongoing appreciation for the Wabash Valley.
“It feels so good. It is amazing to see how such a small community can come together for such a cause.”
Hatcher also added that she chose the activity because of how she helped her family after her brother died.
“This event is being held to honor my brother who was as passionate about cars as I am. would like to do anything.”
