“I finally decided to try these cord protectors and was able to guarantee their effectiveness absolutely. One of my cats is the infamous cord tutor and I especially love going to the town of charging cables for his automatic water fountain. You can check for the damage mentioned above. They snap *on and off easily – flexible enough to remove, but thick and durable enough that your kitten’s teeth don’t match a thick wire loom. Sneaky quickly realized he had finally been defeated after discovering these at his favorite chew spots (I also applied a protector to a poor MacBook charging wire, which was another target).
I like how these are offered in different colors and in different lengths and sizes, so I can actually order as many as I want. I used short pieces for the water fountain cable and much longer pieces for the MacBook charging cable to protect the entire area, as I just cut out as much as I need to do in a particular area. I ordered a 1/2 inch diameter If you’re planning to cover only one thin cable, you can definitely go to a 1/4 inch or 1/8 inch size. So it’s not as bulky as mine looks on top. If you’re planning on covering multiple cables at once, you’ll want to stick to a larger size. ”
