$21.8 million of FEMA money granted to SWLA

SWLA, La. (KPLC) – SWLA will receive approximately $21.8 million from FEMA for Hurricane Laura, Hurricane Ida, and severe winter storm relief.

FEMA announced a grant of $21,779,074.77.

Funds will be granted as follows:

$1,674,085.63	Risk management office	This grant provides federal funding for building repairs across the state resulting from severe winter storms.
$2,203,374.65	jefferson parish	This grant provides federal funding for emergency protection efforts in the wake of Hurricane Ida.
$12,849,079.42	jefferson parish	This grant provides federal funding for emergency protection efforts in the wake of Hurricane Ida.
$2,213,579.75	Terrebonne Embankment and Conservation Area	This grant will provide federal funding for permanent construction of the Petit Caillou Lock in the wake of Hurricane Ida.
