Tampa Bay released its injury report Friday afternoon, with tight end Cade Otton (knee) and inside linebacker KJ Britt (ankle) listed as questionable for the game. Safety Mike Edwards (hamstring) has been out for the past two weeks and is questionable, although he will still be available.
The Bucks have played without Edwards and Britt recently and are ready to play their next game without them. But Otton’s absence brings new challenges. Otton is known as an iron man who plays nearly every snap in each game on offense. He only missed one game in his career as a rookie in 2022, but it looks like he will miss his second career game in 2024.
This means second-year player Payne Durham will get more opportunities as the starting tight end and Ko Kieft will be used in certain blocking formations and in a fullback role. . This also likely means rookie tight end Devin Culp, a seventh-round pick, will be dressed for the game. He appeared in two games this season, twice on the offensive line and 17 times on special teams.
Throughout this season, the Bucks were able to overcome a plethora of injuries on offense. Despite the importance Otton brings to the lineup, they should still be able to get plenty of points. A prime time match.
