1.) Lake Murray
If you’re driving between Dallas and Oklahoma City, Lake Murray is a great place to stop for an afternoon excursion. It’s one of the best things to do in Okuramo, especially since it’s so accessible and easy to visit.
Lake Murray, just off Highway 35, is a must-see for outdoor enthusiasts. Once you arrive, follow the hiking and walking trails to see Tucker Tower, north of Murray Harbour.

If museums aren’t your thing, head to Myriad Botanical Gardens to admire some of the most well-kept gardens in all of Oklahoma. The 15 acres of gardens feature spectacular horticultural displays. There’s also a gushing fountain, a play area for children, and trails perfect for walking or jogging.
After exploring the gardens, go ice skating at the Devon Ice Rink or enjoy a meal at the garden restaurant. The outdoor garden can be used free of charge. We love gardens and he is one of the best things to do in Oklahoma without breaking the bank.

Famous among hikers, equestrians, and rappers, Robards Cave State Park may not have the most appealing name, but it’s a pretty nice park. As you know, the name comes from the historical outlaw caves that were found hidden in sandstone cliffs and hills, and not from the robbers who were actually in the area today.
While you’re here, be sure to hit the trails and take in the pure beauty of Robards Cave State Park. Oh, and keep in mind that the park’s lakes are only open during the day, and trolling speeds are set at a maximum of 6 mph.

Lake Tenkiller, located on the eastern edge of Oklahoma, is full of small coves and bluffs that you can explore at your own pace.
