Benidorm is still popular, but it lost its charm many years ago. That said, there seems to be something of a revival of people returning to Benidorm’s Golden Coast.

1.) Llevant Beach (Platja de Llevant)
Benidorm’s Levante Beach is Benidorm’s most popular beach and is visited during the warm summer months. Benidorm, which surrounds the city, is he one of the best things to do in Benidorm if you want to spend a day at the beach. No more stress looking for equipment.

There is one caveat. It can get busy during the summer. If that’s not to your taste, head to one of the small coves or beaches like Racó del Conill.

2.) Go hiking in Sierra Helada
The Sierra Herada is a natural park with an eight-kilometer-long mountain range. With towering seaside cliffs, a visit to Benidorm is perfect if you want to escape to the great outdoors.

3.) Mediterranean balcony
Whenever I visit Benidorm, mediterranean balconyHonestly, it’s a very popular spot that you can’t miss.
The area is split between two beaches, Platgeta del Mal Pas and Platja de Llevant, offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Honestly, the deep blue sea color is beautiful and you can enjoy great weather. Well, at least on sunny days.
And if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of live musicians playing on your Mediterranean balcony. Especially the sunrise and sunset is a very nice experience.
However, I never got up at sunrise!

4.) Cross of Benidorm
Great for enjoying the scenery, the Cross of Benidorm is worth a visit if you want to explore more of the area.
As you can see, there are miles of coastal views from here.
This cross was built in the 1950s to protect the town. Which one seems to have done the job?
Best of all, you can reach the top of the hill by car, bike or on foot. However, the latter would be a little harsh in the summer heat.
The views from the Cross of Benidorm are spectacular.
5.) Guadalest or a mountain village in Guadalest
Guadalest is a small town on the mountain, a must-visit when you come to Benidorm. About 30 minutes drive, it’s a perfect day trip to explore this very quaint and historic Spanish town.
Once here, you can explore the famous San Jose Castle and other museums. This place has a great view even from the top.
Oh, if you want a nice view, Walls LookoutYou can see it right across the lake.
6.) Altair
Arguably one of Spain’s most charming and fun towns, Altea is easily accessible from Benidorm. After all, it’s only 15 minutes.
This old town has beautiful white buildings with narrow cobbled streets and a stunning beach ( LP Beach). If you want a delicious bite to eat, Unico Restaurant at the seaside.their Archachofas Con Jamon it’s delicious!
Afterwards, take a short walk through Altea to explore independent shops, coffee spots, and the Church of Nuestra Senora del Consuelo.

7.) Benidorm Old Town
No trip to Benidorm is complete without a visit to Benidorm’s Old Town. It has a completely different atmosphere than the Promenade and is worth a visit once you get to Benidorm.
Benidorm’s Old Town gives you a taste of old Spain. There are many ancient and historical places there, and you can eat in good restaurants.
Find a place with many small craft shops, Benidorm Old Town The right place for you. There are many small shops and many eateries.
For delicious tapas, head to Santo Domingo Street (Tapas Alley) to try some of the restaurants serving delicious pinchos, tapas and paella. When you’re hungry in Benidorm, it’s easy to stop in the Old Town.

8.) Villajoyosa
Villajoyosa is a historic town along a wide sandy beach, just a 15-minute drive away. Villajoyosa is famous for its colorful townhouses and is very gorgeous for a day trip.
There you can enjoy many water sports, visit markets, explore historic buildings and attractions.
Spend some time and stop by Varadero Beach. Restaurant Zelka for their delicious lunch. I know it’s not typical Spanish food, but the homemade pizza here is very good.

9.) Algar Falls
The Algar Waterfalls are a great day trip destination from Benidorm. Climb the hills to see beautiful waterfalls that have formed over thousands of years in the area. Long before Benidorm was the place!
It can be easily reached in about 30 minutes by car. Dino Park is also available if you are traveling with children. Have a nice day. It’s a perfect place to have fun with the whole family.

Hop on the river rapids (and cool off in the summer sun), head to the Cataratas del Niro (a large log waterway-type vehicle) and ride the Titanide. The latter is a gruesome roller coaster and terrifyingly exciting.
11.) Poniente Beach (Playa de Poniente)
