One of the great things about Gibraltar is that it’s surrounded by the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. This all means that there are mountains of wildlife, including dolphins that frequent the coast and the wider Strait of Gibraltar.

2.) Gibraltar Skywalk

Believe me, the views from the Gibraltar Skywalk are spectacular. In fact, you can see the continent of Africa and even Spain while overlooking this region.

Europa Point is an old 19th-century lighthouse with a chapel and a mosque.
A great place for history buffs to learn about Gibraltar’s history and well worth a visit if you want to get away from the streets.

4.) Battery O’Hara (and Highest Point)
A visit to the O’Hara Battery, one of the highest points on the rock, is one of the best things to do in Gibraltar to enjoy the scenery.
It’s about 425 meters high, but the summit feels even higher. Trust me when I say, this destination is worth it…even if it’s a trek.
Once used as a military base, O’Hara’s Battery is now open for visits (although it closes several times a year).
Climb the steep stairs slowly. Beware of pesky monkeys.
They can be quite demanding if they see you eating or drinking.
5.) Gibraltar Cable Car
Want to scale rocks without difficult walks and hikes? Then ride the Gibraltar Cable Car over 400 meters in just 6 minutes.
Enjoy beautiful views of Gibraltar and the surrounding area at the summit station and along the way.
Oh and don’t forget you can hop off (from the top station) to St. Michael’s Cave. It’s well worth going inside and you can easily combine both activities in one rock climb.

6.) St. Michael’s Cave
St. Michael’s Cave is a wonderful area to explore and well worth a visit if you like spending the day away from the sun. It’s amazing and it took Mother Nature thousands of years to create.
Honestly the stalagmites and stalactites are amazing to look at and totally huge. As you can see, St. Michael’s Cave is the largest on the island.
Don’t miss the Cathedral Cave, with its 400-seat underground concert hall. Pretty cool, right?
7.) Great Siege Tunnel
Exploring the Great Siege Tunnels is like traveling to a completely different place. So unique and one of the best things to do in Gibraltar he if you want to know the history of this area.
As you know, it was built centuries ago to help Britain stave off attacks from neighboring Spain and France.
It is open daily and entrance fees are included in the reserve price. you pay. Last entry is after 17:00, so don’t be late.
8.) Main Street and Casemates Square
Exploring new places is so exciting! Gibraltar also has many spots to visit as you traverse the rocks and surrounding coastline.
Visiting Casemates Square, one of the largest public spaces, is one of the best things to do in Gibraltar.


Then, head to the Governor’s House, find the Houses of Parliament, and head to the National Museum of Gibraltar for an overview of the area’s history.

9.) Moorish Castle
The Moorish Castle towers high over Gibraltar and dates back centuries when Moorish conquests came to Europe from North Africa.
Exploring this place is a great opportunity to learn about the history of the area and its 14th-century buildings. We love it and it’s worth an hour or so walking around the local area.
10.) Windsor Suspension Bridge
When ascending (or descending) the Rock of Gibraltar, be sure to cross the Windsor Suspension Bridge. It is about 70 meters long and is a great way to explore the area.
Be sure to bring comfortable shoes and water. The route can be long and hot during the summer months.
