With gorgeous spots like museums, cool little bars and a spectacular downtown area, Columbus has something for every type of visitor.
Whether it’s a day trip to Columbus or a long weekend away, you’ll have a great time. It’s a fun and easy way to visit as part of a wider road trip around the state.
So, to make your trip fun and easy, I wanted to share some of my favorite things to do in Columbus. This way, you can focus on what matters most: having fun.

1.) North Market
Founded in the 1800s, north market Considered by locals to be one of the best markets in the state. Absolutely amazing! It’s packed with everything. With fresh pastries, hand-cut flowers, local cheeses and more, it’s the perfect place for a stroll and a delicious lunch.
Well, the North Market isn’t the biggest in the world, but don’t let its sheer size put you off. There are many stalls offering delicious food to suit most tastes. For delicious bagels, be sure to stop by Black Radish Creamery and Fox’s.
There is one caveat here. The North Market can get busy, especially on weekends. Arrive early in the morning or just before closing if you want to avoid the crowds. we love it

2.) German Village
One of the best things about exploring a city is exploring its various neighborhoods. Columbus is no exception.
Our favorite neighborhood is the German Village, and not just because of the beautiful Schiller Park. German Village allows you to explore the Germanic roots of Columbus and is perfect for a few hours of exploration.
Come here for delicious bratwursts, cream puffs and schnitzels at Schmidt’s Restaurant and Sausage Haus. Oh my God, it’s all about schnitzel.
You can also experience the German Village Oktoberfest and a tour of the house and gardens if your visit is well-timed. These events are held annually, so it’s good to take this into consideration when planning your itinerary and travel in general.
oh don’t forget The Book Loftit is a destination in itself! With so many rooms, it can be overwhelming if you’re looking for something specific, but it’s very nice.
3.) Huntington Park
Tired of walking around the city yet? Next, head to Huntington Park, one of Columbus’ largest sports parks. This is one of the best spots to watch a game and can hold thousands.
Home of the Clippers, it’s a great place to get your tickets and spend the night.oh don’t forget to stop by
Wario Beef & Pork for a delicious sandwich. He is one of the best activities to visit when you are hungry in Columbus. Believe me, you will stay stuffed.
4.) Ohio Theater
Look, ohio theater Not only is it beautiful, it also hosts some of the best events and music events in the state. With so many events happening in Columbus, this is one of the best things to do. You’ll find everything from live theater productions, classic films, ballet performances and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
Founded nearly 100 years ago, the Ohio Theater is one of Columbus’ most famous structures and locations. Believe me, it’s beautiful.
5.) Columbus Museum of Art
If you like museums and galleries, you’ll love the Columbus Museum of Art. One of the most visited places and he one of the best activities in Columbus, especially for art lovers.
With permanent exhibitions, works of art, collections and exhibits, it’s a space where you can spend hours exploring.
Visiting with family? Let’s go to the Wonder Room. Great fun for kids, lots of interactive exhibits to make her day very enjoyable.
Afterwards, head to the nearby Schokko Art Café for a light meal. Well worth it.

6.) Wexner Center for the Arts
Today, the Wexner Center for the Arts is a public gallery whose goal is to promote creative expression that is great to see.
Inside, regardless of the art form, it offers a unique experience and is a lot of fun to look at. As well as that, the Wexner Center for the Arts also serves as a venue for visitors to see films, exhibitions, art and events, and a one-hour visit is plenty of fun. They also have a very cool artist residency program that houses many exhibits to see.
Oh, and don’t forget that it’s completely free to visit after 4pm on Thursdays.
7.) Easton Town Center
Fancy some fun shopping? Well, head to the Easton Town Center. He is one of the best activities to do in Columbus if you want to shop all day.
Easton Town Center has all your favorite brands and local stories. Best of all, this is an outdoor shopping district where you can check out the many restaurants and sit outside when the weather is nice.
Although it is outside the city center, it can be easily reached by taxi or rental car. In addition, nearby Brendon Woods Metro Park Very nice for a walk.

8.) Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Garden
Would you like to spend a cool time in the city? Afterwards, head to one of the best activities in Columbus, the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

Ohio Stadium is great for football enthusiasts, especially since it’s home to the Columbus Buckeyes. Tourists and locals alike should head to the stadium to soak up the atmosphere and catch a weekend game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The atmosphere is totally electric and a great experience, even if you don’t know the rules of football itself.
Then don’t forget to go to Casuelas Mexican Cantina. A relaxed and perfectly chilled place, but the food is very good. Plus, it makes a super delicious margarita.

10.) Pizzutti Collection
Can’t get enough of Columbus’s art? Then explore the area around Goodale Park and visit one of the best things to do in Columbus, the Pizzuti Collection.
Now part of the Columbus Museum of Art, it’s relatively small compared to its bigger siblings, but the three-story building is impressive.
There is also a beautiful garden outside the museum, so if you need a break from exploring the museum, you can spend time outside and breathe in the fresh air. It is closed on Mondays, so if you want to visit this place, make sure you go on another day of the week.
