It’s been 20 years since then, and it’s time to reunite with the people I met in high school. For some people, the event may cause anxiety, fear, and an inferiority complex. But some of us just can’t wait to see the people who made high school memorable again.
Still, you might face situations at your reunion that you weren’t prepared for. This is a terrifying reminder of how people change over time, or stay the same.
Here are 10 surprises people have had at their reunions that will definitely blow your mind.
1. Career choice
Spending time with a person often tells you what field they will end up in. But in some cases it can be unpredictable. One person reports some of the illustrious careers of his high school friends. “The man who was arrested three times for underage drinking is now a police officer. Golden Child is currently in prison for sexual assault. I’m doing
Surely no one saw them coming.
2. Mean Girl
People will change for the better. Back in high school, one poster said that one girl was so famous and pretty that they seemed unapproachable given their vantage point. She fits the “mean girl” stereotype perfectly.
They added, “When I spoke to her at the reunion, it turned out that she had a very unstable, very tenuous home life, which made up for it. But now, she’s very kind.” And it’s full of gratitude and really real.”
Well, now I can say that she is beautiful inside and out.
3. Missing person
Some say they were listed as absentees the last time their high school reunion was held. School officials have asked anyone who knows how to contact them to contact the alumni association.
They sent the newsletter directly to their homes.
4. Crowds of Old Men Appear
It’s a high school reunion, not a retirement party. The first guests arrive, but they look strange because they look like their high school friend’s parents. A few more guests arrived, and then you were shocked.
This happened in real life too.
5. Their friend was alive
Believe it or not, for some it was a huge shock when they arrived at the reunion to find that their former drug buddies were still alive. One night they squandered so much that they “stole each other”.
“Ten years later, at a high school reunion, I saw him sitting in the corner. We were both sober and very good looking,” they say. “I went up to him and the first thing he said was, ‘I thought I was going to die.’ And I said the same thing back to him.”
Isn’t it funny?
6. Nobody remembered
It’s okay if no one remembers you at the class reunion. The scary part is when you don’t know anyone and everyone remembers you – you were weird.
One person reports: “People came to me and said, ‘It’s really nice to meet you.'” I couldn’t remember a single one. ”
7. Meet someone you like
At a class reunion for the first time in 10 years, one person asked a girl he had a crush on in 1st or 8th grade if he knew he had a crush. They said she just thought it would be fun to tell the story as an adult.
Things took an interesting turn. The next day she texted them several times and went on a date. Six years later, they were engaged to have one child and another was due.
It’s a stroke of luck.
8. Geek to rock star
“In his tenth year, the sort of geek guy who was on the bowling team is now part of the ‘Weird Morning DJ’ crew at one of New York City’s hottest radio stations. says one. And he came in dressed like a rock star, with his hair up. ”
A little rock and roll never hurt anyone.
9. Irony
Two things you should never do: don’t bully anyone and don’t think it can’t happen to you.
For this person, the bully took the karma. They were making fun of their weight. Sadly, they were “fat, divorced, and barely making ends meet” when they met at a reunion.
They lost weight in college, married a wonderful man, and are now blessed with wonderful children.
10. Realtors
One person said that he was shocked by the number of real estate agents he met at the class reunion. It felt like everyone had moved to that field. Also, they all seemed to be there to “market their product”.
